Mathematics Tutoring

Mathematics Tutoring at Bloom Educational Services focuses on the critical upper elementary years, when grades 3-6 students move from basic facts to more complex problem solving. As certified, highly experienced teachers, we know exactly where children typically get stuck and how to rebuild confidence step by step.

Each Zoom-based session is anchored in three key areas: math fluency, fractions and decimals, and problem-solving strategies. We help students solidify addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts so they can stop counting on fingers and start thinking about the problem itself. For fractions and decimals, we use visuals, number lines, and real-world examples to make concepts concrete and less intimidating.

Word problems are a major stress point for many children. We teach them how to slow down, identify what the question is asking, choose a strategy, and check their work. Over time, they build a toolkit of approaches instead of guessing.
