Who We Are As Educators
Bloom Educational Services in Brockton is an online tutoring practice supporting grades 3 6 students in reading and math nationwide. Co owners Dr. Shauntell Dunbar and Nikisha Dennis each bring over 15 years in K 8 teaching and leadership, including certifications in K 6 education, ESL, and special education. We design every Zoom session around clear goals, positive reinforcement, and consistent communication so families see real gains in skills, confidence, and classroom performance.
Why We Focus On Grades 3 6
Grades 3 6 are a turning point, when children shift between learning to read and using reading to learn, and when math moves into multi step problems, fractions, and decimals. Our team concentrates on this band so every lesson, assessment, and strategy matches what students encounter in class and on state tests. By narrowing our focus, we close gaps faster, support homework more effectively, and prepare students for the demands of middle school.
How Our Values Guide Tutoring
Our work is grounded in three core values, research informed instruction, positive reinforcement, and true partnership with families. Dr. Dunbar's doctoral training in early childhood education, policy, and leadership shapes our data driven plans and progress monitoring. Monthly reports keep parents informed and involved, while our reward systems help students feel proud of their effort. Families gain structured guidance, and children gain the steady support they need to grow as confident, independent learners.

With more than 15 years of experience in education, Dr. Shauntell Dunbar combines classroom teaching, instructional leadership, and literacy expertise to help students build skills and confidence. She plays a key role in developing assessments, learning plans, and instructional strategies that support meaningful academic growth for every learner.
